In the car on the way home from picking the boys up from their grandparents house this weekend, the conversation quickly turned to all things hunting. (Well, of course it did, Ryan had just been in the woods shooting a 20 gauge...) Ryan was questioning his dad on various types of rifles and shot guns, how much they normally cost, what kind of ammo they use, etc. He's saving his money to buy a hunting rifle of his own. His dad informed him that the gun he wants to buy usually runs a little over $300. Ryan lamented that it was going to take him quite a while to save up that kind of money!
Heather piped up from the back seat with these helpful words, "Or you, know, you could always buy a double-barreled sling shot for 20 bucks at Wal-Mart!"
"A what? Double-barrel? For real? Dad...what kind of sling shot is that? I never heard of one before."
"Son, trust me. You don't need one of those. Those double Barreled sling-shots have been gettin' men in trouble for years!"
Poor kid. He has no idea.
