Wednesday Prayer Meetin'

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
Revelation 21:3-4
Sometimes it seems as if we're surrounded by sickness and pain. We're all facing something difficult. Whether it's a sour relationship, a friend suffering from cancer, the sudden death of a loved one, the loss of a job, or just a child with a bad cold, we each have our share of grief to endure. Some days our problems seem so overwhelming that we just want to give up and give in to our despair. There's nothing anyone can say or do to make it all better. We just want to fall on the floor and cry our eyes out.
Isn't it wonderful to know that as children of God we can look forward to a day when everything WILL be ok? Your spouse won't be ill, your grandpa won't forget who you are and who cares if you don't have a job? No one will bully your baby at school, there won't be any mean people and you won't have to worry about your teenagers wrecking their cars. Your body will be whole and your heart will be free! (I'm especially looking forward to the day my Pip Squeak will run like a deer on legs that don't ache!)
Did you read the verses above? God himself will wipe the tears away! If that doesn't make it all better, I just don't know what will. If you're hurting today, no matter what the cause, please take heart in God's promises. There WILL be a day!

Troubled soul don’t lose your heart
Cause joy and peace he brings
And the beauty that’s in store
Outweighs the hurt of life’s sting
Prayer requests:
First of all, thank you God! Little Stellan is out of the hospital. There's much more to be done in the future, but for now he and his mama are back home where they belong.
Please pray for Noah. Chelsea's boy took a fall off the Rip Stick this weekend and has broken his arm. OUCH! According to reports, he was very brave, but please remember Noah as his arm heals.
Another broken bone...little Alex from Jiu Jitsu fell from the backyard slide and has a cast on her tiny 6 year old arm. Nothing bad, but still. With summer quickly approaching, I know these kids would like to heal quickly! No one wants to be stuck in a cast and out of the pool!
Remember Landon? He'll be having some more tests done this week, but at this point it looks like his little stomach is not working properly at all. His mother relates that the doctors have talked about the possibility of him having to remain on a feeding tube indefinitely. I don't know what all of the options are, but someone has mentioned the sords Stomach Transplant to her and naturally that freaked her out!
Please pray for Landon's healing, and for his mama's peace of mind.
My Oldest has final exams on Friday. He's pretty nervous about the Chemistry and Calculus ones, so if you would pray for him, too, I know he'd be grateful. He'll officially be finished with his first year of college on Monday. Ugh. On second thought, better pray for ME...I'm getting old.
How do you need prayer this week?

What a miracle that little Stellan went home!!

Please say a prayer for two couples in our church (one in my Sunday school class) who have decided to call it quits on their marriages. There are children involved in both instances and it breaks my heart!
