Thank heaven for EXAMS!

I don't know if you're aware of it, but Myrtle Beach, SC is on fire. Over 15,000 acres have burned so far and something like 69 homes have been destroyed. I know that this is probably nothing compared to the fires that occur out West, but it's been on the news a lot around here.
Guess who's newly licensed "Woodlands Firefighter" is pitching fits to go upstate with his firebug buddies and play in the fire??
Guess who's newly licensed "Woodlands Firefighter" has to stay home and take his FINAL EXAMS instead??
Guess who's mom is secretly whispering "Thank you, Lord!" while sympathizing that the school could be so unfeeling as to schedule major testing when there's a freak 6 mile fire going on?
It'll be OK. He can roast marshmallows in the back yard instead.

LOL! What are the chances! Anyway, pray our family. Paul's brother, David, and his family-wife, Jeanie and daughters Jordan(10) and Lindsay (7) live there. I spoke with Jeanie yesterday and so far this isn't affecting them much. They live far north of where the fire was. Of course, we all know how that can go, it could all change with the wind!
