wedding anniversary to my Grandaddy Earl and Grandma Sadie.
(That would be the happy couple up there with their oldest daughter and my dad, who's the baby in the photo but not in reality because there's another sister after him.)
They married when Sadie was 19 and Grandaddy had just come back from serving in WWII. And they're still putting up with each other all these decades later. That's quite an accomplishment, trust me. Because they're both stubborn and hard-headed!
So anyway, 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren have come of that union all those years ago. And they're proud of each one. They'll brag for hours. Even if Grandaddy gets them mixed up nowadays. Well, he's 88 and there are a lot of kids.
May they have much happiness together for the remainder of their years! We love you both! And we're heading over later with cake and cherry-vanilla ice cream from Pink Dipper.
